DevHunt
A weekly launchpad that only makes sense if developers are the buyers.

DevHunt exists because Product Hunt is a weak room for products that look like terminals, APIs, or GitHub apps. Weekly launches, GitHub login, and a developer-only frame change who shows up. If your user is an engineer, this is one of the few boards where the default visitor might actually clone the repo.
Momentum is not what it was in 2023–24. Treat current traffic as a niche bonus, not a growth engine. The SEO value is decent, the backlink is useful, and the cultural fit is the real score. A polished consumer app will feel lost here; a well-documented tool will feel at home.
Pair DevHunt with Peerlist the same month if you want a broader professional audience, and with Product Hunt later if you still want a visual maker day.
Pros
- • Audience is pre-filtered to developers
- • Free, weekly, and low ceremony
- • Useful dofollow backlink
Cons
- • Traffic is modest and off its peak
- • Useless for non-developer products
How to launch here
- 01Connect GitHub and make the repo or docs the first click, not a marketing site only.
- 02Write the tagline like a README headline.
- 03Launch in a quiet week so you are not under a giant tool.
