Pre-launch
The BetaList queue problem (and how to schedule around it)
The free pre-launch queue is often 4–6 weeks. File it when the waitlist exists, then let Uneed and Peerlist land during public week — not the other way around.

Resources
- BetaList
Submit the week the waitlist is live. Confirm current expedite pricing on their site.
- Pre-launch ranking
BetaList, Launching Next, Launching Pad, plus slow daily queues.
- Launching Next
Same-week batch. Faster than BetaList, smaller audience.
The inversion
Founders launch Product Hunt, then remember BetaList. BetaList features them three weeks later, when the copy is stale and nobody is watching. Invert it: BetaList is wave 0 because of latency, not because it is glamorous.
What to file the same afternoon
Launching Next and Launching Pad. Unique copy. Honest launch status. Then stop thinking about pre-launch boards until a feature email arrives.
When to pay
Expedite only if the public date is already locked and the free queue would land after it. Otherwise the free review is the strategy — it forces you to start earlier.
