Kit
The launch asset kit (copy this note)
The exact files and copy Uneed, Aura++, Peerlist, and EarlyHunt all ask for — written once, reused with unique descriptions so you stop stalling on form twelve.

What to prepare
- Tagline: user + job, under 12 words
- Short description: 300 words, unique per board
- Long description: 600–900 words for boards that ask
- Logo: square PNG/SVG, 512px+
- Gallery: 3–5 screenshots of the real product
- First-comment draft: who it's for, how to try it in two minutes
- UTM template: ?utm_source=BOARD&utm_medium=launch
Resources
- Uneed — submit / queue
Daily board. Free queue can take weeks. Unique copy.
- Aura++
Daily slot. Extra day after the kit exists; check badge rules for the follow link.
- BetaList — submit
Pre-launch board. File the week the waitlist exists.
- Peerlist Launchpad
Weekly Monday launch. Complete the profile first.
- Product Hunt maker's guide (official)
Read their current maker rules before you pick a day. Outbound is nofollow.
- Where to submit playbook
The order to file these assets once they exist.
Write the kit in one note, not in twelve tabs
Every launch board asks for the same objects. The stall is inventing them in the form. Open a single note titled Launch kit. Fill the list above before you touch Uneed, Aura++, or Peerlist.
The only field that must change per board is the 300-word description. Everything else can be reused. If you rewrite the tagline in each form, the listings will contradict each other and you will hate the process by board four.
- Filename pattern: tagline.txt, desc-uneed.md, desc-peerlist.md, logo.png, shot-01.png…
- Keep a 'do not paste' line at the top of each description so you do not ship the Uneed blurb to BetaList.
Screenshots that survive a hunt
Hunters decide in two seconds. A landing-page hero with 'Coming soon' is a bounce. Show the product doing the job: a filled-in dashboard, a before/after, a terminal with a real command.
Crop chrome. Export 1600px wide. Put the most specific shot first — the one that would not work for a different product.
The first comment is part of the kit
Write it before launch morning. Structure: who you built it for, the painful step it removes, the two-minute try path, one honest limitation. That last sentence is how you look like a founder instead of a press release.
