Developer tools have a Product Hunt problem: the median hunter wants a screenshot, not a README. These launch boards invert that. Technical substance is an advantage instead of a handicap.
Peerlist and DevHunt are the reliable weekly rooms. Daily hunts still help if the demo is tryable in a browser.
Criteria: Developer audience quality, then community and overall score.
What to prepare
- README-quality tagline and a docs or GitHub link as the first click
- A tryable demo: CLI install, API playground, or hosted instance
- Complete Peerlist profile before Launchpad week or the launch looks empty
- Screenshots of the tool in use, not a gradient marketing site

- DevHunt the same week if it is a real devtool (GitHub login).
- Uneed as a calmer daily if the demo is tryable in a browser.
- Product Hunt later if you still want a visual maker day — not the same morning.
