How the Pacific clock works
Product Hunt's launch guide says every launch goes live at 12:01 AM Pacific on its scheduled date. That is the start of the homepage day. This page takes 12:01 a.m. in the IANA zone America/Los_Angeles and shows the same instant where you are.
Pacific Time is not one UTC offset. During daylight saving, 12:01 a.m. Pacific is 12:01 a.m. PDT, which is 07:01 UTC. During standard time the same wall-clock time is 12:01 a.m. PST, which is 08:01 UTC. The United States moves the Pacific clock at 2:00 a.m., so 12:01 a.m. is never the skipped or repeated hour. The table labels each date with the abbreviation that applies that morning.
Older Product Hunt pages still say "12:01 a.m. PST" in summer. The current launch guide says "12:01 AM Pacific." This converter follows the current guide: 12:01 on the Pacific clock, so the UTC hour moves when that clock does.
While Pacific is on PDT, 12:01 a.m. in Los Angeles is 12:31 p.m. in India. India stays on IST (UTC+5:30) all year, so that pair does not move. New York, London, and anywhere else that changes its own clocks do not have one year-round answer. Each row uses that date's offset in the zone you pick.
The next seven days
The list starts at the next 12:01 a.m. Pacific that has not happened yet. If that moment already passed today, today is a launch day already underway and the first row is tomorrow. The clock refreshes in the browser. The time zone is not stored and it is not sent to producthunt-alternatives.com.
Download .ics when you want those seven opens on a calendar. Each event is 30 minutes, stored in UTC, so it marks the start without blocking the day. Import it into the calendar you already use. Download it again later for the following week. The file is built on your device.
What to do with the time
Be at a keyboard for the open if you are the person answering comments. A reminder set for midnight Pacific can fire a minute early. 12:01 is the published time.
Weekly boards do not use this clock. The Monday launch calendar is for Peerlist, EarlyHunt, and the other seven-day rooms. Use this page for Product Hunt's Pacific day, then the launch-day comment guide for the shift itself. Product Hunt stays the baseline on its own page at Product Hunt.
The converter does not schedule a launch, predict a rank, or pick a weekday for you. Product Hunt's guide says to choose a date when you can be around for the first hours and when the people you want are awake. This page only answers the clock.
