What Peerlist Launchpad is

Peerlist Launchpad is Peerlist's weekly board for projects and products. The help introduction calls it a launchpad where you show work to peers, collect feedback, and can be recognized for it. The same page says the point is recognition plus a community you can collaborate with. Checked October 2026 on the Launchpad introduction.

The public board is at peerlist.io/launchpad. On 25 October 2026 that page was labeled Week 43, Oct 19–Oct 25. Those calendar dates run Monday through Sunday. An Internet Archive capture from 9 July 2025 labeled the board then as Week 28, Jul 7–Jul 13, which is the same Monday-through-Sunday shape. Peerlist's help pages do not define the week number or say that every week is Monday to Sunday. Checked October 2026 on the Launchpad board.

Who can launch

You need a verified Peerlist profile. The Launchpad FAQ says anyone with a verified profile can launch. The how-to page says the same thing as a prerequisite. A Peerlist post by Akash Bhadange on 28 August 2025 says that from Week 37 only verified users can launch, and it points at the verification help. Checked October 2026 on the Launchpad FAQ, the how to launch page, and the Week 37 note.

The profile has to be a person. The rules say only individual profiles may launch, with a valid name and a profile picture, and the profile should not represent a company. Projects that break that rule may be suspended. The FAQ lists a company or non-personal profile as a reason a project is removed. Checked October 2026 on the Launchpad rules and the Launchpad FAQ.

Verification on Peerlist is optional if you only want a profile. Workplace verification is free. Identity verification has a fee and is done through Stripe Identity. The identity page calls it a nominal one-time fee and says the fee is non-refundable once the process begins. The dollar amount is not stated. Launchpad's pages say the profile must be verified, and they do not say whether workplace verification alone is enough or whether the paid identity check is required. Checked October 2026 on profile verification and identity verification.

The project has to live on your profile and be 100% complete. The how-to page says only a 100% complete project can launch, and a scheduled launch fails if the details are not 100% complete. The rules say the product must be on your profile with the mandatory fields, and they name product name, tagline, cover image, and demo link as examples. A full list of which fields count toward 100%, and any character limits, is not stated. Checked October 2026 on how to launch and the Launchpad rules.

Peerlist's project form, on the help page for adding a project, asks for a name, a tagline, a project URL (demo or landing page), up to four cover images, a video URL, tools and tech stack, a category, an open-source yes or no, and a description it calls highly recommended. Checked October 2026 on how to add a project.

  • Allowed examples, and the FAQ says the list is not limited to these: coding projects (dev tools, browser extensions, libraries), design projects (Figma files, plugins, portfolios, mobile apps, landing pages), and digital products (ebooks, Notion templates, UI kits). Launchpad FAQ.
  • Removed or refused, and the FAQ says this list is not limited to these: a product that is unsafe for privacy or security, a copy or ripoff, a product you do not own, a collaborator who is not associated with you or the product, and pornography, vulgarity, betting, or gambling. Repeated violations can suspend the profile. Launchpad FAQ.
  • SEO marketing agencies are prohibited from launching for clients. The rules say that will be suspended immediately. Launchpad rules.

Weekly schedule and timing

The launch window opens on Monday every week, and the launch continues for a week. The FAQ also says the window for launching is open through Monday, every week. The how-to page says Monday is a launch day and the launchpad is open through Mondays. Checked October 2026 on the Launchpad FAQ and the how to launch page.

If you miss Monday, or you are not sure you will be on time, you can schedule on any other day. The how-to page says to open the project, click Launch, and choose Schedule Launch for a week number. The project still has to be 100% complete or that scheduled launch fails. Checked October 2026 on how to launch.

The exact opening minute, the timezone of that Monday window, and the closing minute of the week are not stated on the Launchpad FAQ or the how to launch page. Checked October 2026. The dated labels checked for this guide are the live board on 25 October 2026 (Week 43, Oct 19–Oct 25) and the 9 July 2025 archive (Week 28, Jul 7–Jul 13).

On Monday the how-to page says to open peerlist.io/launchpad, use the Launch button in the top header, click Launch, select an eligible project from the dropdown, and click Launch Project. The project goes live immediately and is visible to the whole Peerlist community. Checked October 2026 on how to launch.

How ranking and upvotes work

Rank is an aggregate score. The FAQ says that score takes in the number of upvotes, comments, views, link visits, and overall traction. For the first two days, Monday and Tuesday, projects stay in random order so each launch gets exposure. Only qualitative comments count toward ranking. Upvotes and feedback from verified profiles carry higher weight. The numeric weights are not stated. Checked October 2026 on the Launchpad FAQ.

Upvotes are not the whole score. The rules tell builders not to ask for upvotes, and to ask for support by comments and by sharing on other social platforms. They call the upvote count a small variable in a bigger ranking equation. Checked October 2026 on the Launchpad rules.

Any Peerlist community member can upvote and leave feedback. A separate streaks page says peers with a streak of 14 days or more earn a Super Upvote, and that upvote carries twice the weight of a regular upvote on Product Launchpad. Those peers also get a lightning badge in the supporter widget. Streaks are tracked in UTC. That UTC note is about streaks, not about when the Monday launch window opens. How many streak days unlock each other reward is described as something that can change. Checked October 2026 on Peerlist streaks.

Peerlist says it has zero tolerance for spam. The rules name three cases: messages to members you do not know that share a launch link and ask for upvotes, over-sharing or resharing the launch link on Scroll, and an unsolicited comment under someone else's post that asks for upvotes. A note on the same page says to be mindful when you ask for support in DMs. The FAQ says a project reported by multiple users for spamming can be removed. Checked October 2026 on the Launchpad rules and the Launchpad FAQ.

The 100 upvote club, in the FAQ, is an exclusive group of products that have reached 100 upvotes. Other benefits of that club are not stated. Checked October 2026 on the Launchpad FAQ.

What it costs

A price to launch on Launchpad is not stated. The introduction, the FAQ, the rules, and the how to launch page do not list a launch fee, a free tier, or a paid boost. Checked October 2026.

The costs Peerlist does publish sit on verification, not on the launch button. Workplace verification is free. Identity verification is a nominal one-time fee, non-refundable once it starts, and the amount is not stated. Whether you must pay that fee before Launchpad will accept the project is not stated. Checked October 2026 on profile verification and identity verification.

What winners get

Two official pages describe the prize, and they do not match. The FAQ says the top 3 are featured in Peerlist's weekly emails and social channels, and that winners get a special badge on the product. The introduction says winners are featured in the monthly newsletter and on social channels, and that they get a special badge. Both were live in October 2026. Use both wordings until Peerlist picks one. Launchpad FAQ. Launchpad introduction.

A backlink is not automatic. The FAQ says only the top 5 projects of the week are awarded a backlink. Whether that link is dofollow or nofollow is not stated. Checked October 2026 on the Launchpad FAQ.

The rules also talk about a product of the month. They tell you to check that program's eligibility, then state two requirements on the same page: the product is on your profile, and the mandatory fields (name, tagline, cover image, demo link, and so on) are filled in. A separate product-of-the-month eligibility page is not in the help index checked in October 2026. Anything beyond those two requirements is not stated.

How to prepare, step by step

The sequence below is the one Peerlist's how-to and project pages describe. Do the profile and the project before you care which Monday it is. Checked October 2026 on how to launch and how to add a project.

  • Create an individual profile with a valid name and a profile picture. Company profiles are not allowed to launch.
  • Get verified. Peerlist's launch pages require a verified profile. Which verification method counts is not stated. Workplace verification is free. Identity verification has a fee of an unstated amount.
  • Open the Work tab on your profile. Peerlist writes that path as peerlist.io/[username]. The same help page also links the add-project form: peerlist.io/user/projects/add-project. Click New project.
  • Fill the form: name, tagline, demo or landing URL, cover images (up to four), and the other fields you have. The rules name name, tagline, cover image, and demo link as mandatory examples.
  • Save only when the project shows 100% completion. The how-to page says a partial project cannot launch, and a scheduled launch fails if it is still incomplete on Monday.
  • On Monday, open peerlist.io/launchpad, use Launch in the header, pick the project, and click Launch Project. It goes live immediately.
  • If Monday is a bad day, schedule from the project: Launch, then Schedule Launch for a week number. Finish the project before that Monday.
  • After it is live, Peerlist says you can share the project link, answer comments, track views and interactions, and connect with people who are interested. Support is support@peerlist.io.

Common mistakes

These are the failures Peerlist's own rules and FAQ name, not guesses about what 'usually' happens. Checked October 2026 on the Launchpad rules and the Launchpad FAQ.

  • Launching from a company profile, or from a profile with no real name and no photo. That is a listed reason for removal.
  • Asking strangers for upvotes in DMs, resharing the launch link on Scroll, or dropping an upvote request under someone else's post. The rules call that spam.
  • Treating upvotes as the ranking. Peerlist says the count is a small part of the score, and that only qualitative comments count.
  • Scheduling a Monday while the project is under 100%. The how-to page says that launch fails.
  • Having an SEO agency launch the project for a client. The rules prohibit it and say it will be suspended immediately.
  • Listing a product you do not own, a copy, a fake collaborator, or anything in the NSFW, betting, or gambling group. Repeated violations can suspend the profile.

How it compares to Product Hunt

Peerlist's Launchpad help pages do not mention Product Hunt. The comparison below is this site's, and it stays inside what Peerlist publishes on one side and what this site already writes up on the other.

Launchpad, on Peerlist's pages, is a week that opens on Monday, tied to a verified individual profile, ranked by an aggregate of upvotes, comments, views, link visits, and traction, with Monday and Tuesday shown in random order. A launch price is not stated. The top 3 get a badge and a feature in email or a newsletter, and the two help pages disagree on weekly versus monthly. The top 5 get a backlink, and the follow attribute is not stated.

This site's Peerlist vs Product Hunt comparison treats that week as a different room from Product Hunt's one-day board: better when the buyer cares who built it, smaller when you want raw reach. The Peerlist review is the scored listing. The Product Hunt review is the baseline. The launch platform picker is the short version if you are still choosing a board. The Product Hunt launch checklist is the prep list for Product Hunt's own rules, cited from Product Hunt. The best Product Hunt alternatives in 2026 guide places Launchpad among the other weekly boards.
